phase 1: long periods of being frustrated when you can’t play difficult music
phase 2: feeling terrible about yourself and feeling like you haven’t improved at all
phase 3: knowing that you suck but keep practicing anyway
phase 4: finally start getting better and have a long burst of motivation
phase 5: then having those few short instances where you sound absolutely beautiful
then the process starts all over again….
i’m currently at phase one…. and it sucks…. hard ._.
